Clematis Microphylla

This creeper/climber with dark green oblong leaves has masses of cream starry flowers towards the end of winter and feathery seeds following the flowers, these feathery seeds are where it gets it’s common name ‘old mans beard’.It’s found throughout the reserve but is especially showy up at the lookout where it spectacularly covers the surrounding vegetation.

Leucopogon Parviflorious

This beautiful shrub with gnarled fissured bark has clumps of amazing finely bearded white flowers towards the end of winter with a faint honeysuckly smell. The flowering fruit with many of our indigenous birds and lizards. It can be through out the reserve but is easily found at the lookout.
